Maybe they should re-use the werewolf design.

This is one of the best werewolf movies i've seen. I really must get hold of a copy of the book they based the film on.

I got to meet Meryl Hemingway last weekend! She played the mom, she is a great person I talked to her all three days at that horror convention. She signed my Bad Moon dvd and was surprised I had brought that movie lol.

Think lycanthropy in this film was like a disease as said Ted's journal and Ted said to his nephew that a werewolf can change at any moon, crescent or quarter moon not just a full moon when watching Werewolf Of London.

Think lycanthropy in this film was like a disease as said Ted's journal and Ted said to his nephew that a werewolf can change at any moon, crescent or quarter moon not just a full moon when watching Werewolf Of London. Ted does say that. Yet the moon is always full when Ted transforms. If I recall correctly they use the three nights in a row tradition common to a number of movies and TV programs. I have not read the book Thor on which the movie is based but in some review I recall that the creepy feeling Thor gets from Ted grows stronger as the moon approaches full.

In most werewolf films it's always the full moon, in The Howling they change at will, the original Wolf Man made no mention of changing at a full moon only in sequels.

For some reason they put on the video and DVD cover full, crescent, quarter......each is a bad moon for Ted Harrison.

In most werewolf films it's always the full moon, in The Howling they change at will, the original Wolf Man made no mention of changing at a full moon only in sequels. The poem in the original (1941) movie The Wolfman says autumn moon, and the moon is never shown in in any phase. In the sequels it becomes the full moon in the poem and it is shown. However wolf(s)bane only blooms in June and July. But all that has already been covered in another thread. For some reason they put on the video and DVD cover full, crescent, quarter......each is a bad moon for Ted Harrison. Since Ted says that in the movie, and the title of the movie is Bad Moon, it is only natural that the blurb writers would come up with that. Blurbists have done far worse than that. But without the moon being a factor, the title loses its meaning. Unrelated aside about blurb writers: Many years ago I read a book called Seven Days in May. One of the fictional characters was a US President named Lyman. But the back cover blurb inexplicably called him Johnson. A few months later (non-fictional) President Kennedy was killed and Vice President Johnson became President. This was back in the 1960s when every coincidence was … significant.

Video or DVD covers often get things wrong like Pinhead dressed as a surgeon on the Hellraiser 2 VHS cover from a deleted or unfilmed scene(depending who you ask).
Changing at different phases of the moon is like in Wolf were Nicholson changes at a quarter moon with a wolverine look and at the end is a full blow wolf. Scientifically it would be the gravitational pull of the moon like sea tides.
