I really don't have much to say I am completely appalled and upset that they did this. I just wanted to see if anyone had anything to throw in here I am actually anxious to see how bad Michael Bay will tear this classic film to pieces.

I'd heard that they were doing a remake, but I've not really looked into what it'll be like or who was doing it.
I don't see a point in this remake, than again I don't see the point in a lot of the remakes they've done.

Bloody Disgusting.com did have some picture of the new Freddie who is being played by Jackie Earle Haley who played Rorschach in the Watchmen movie. I have to be honest and say i was never a fan of the original movies but in my humble opinion there can be only one Freddie and that's Robert Englund. His performance stole the movies for me and even though i'm not a fan of the Francise i am a fan of his. It seems to me they should use these budgets to give us something we haven't seen before instead of remaking something many people consider a classic.

I liked the first nightmare on elm street film. But when they started with the sequals I feel they made them too silly, they lost that initial horror element that the first one had, and instead made freddy a little too comical and not edgy enough.

It was ment to be that way, to have a little comedy in the sequals. Childs Play was the same way, the first one was the only one ment to be serious. How do you have a nightmare on elm street without Robert Englund, this remake is so laim.

I wonder if Robert Englund will appear in some lame arse cameo in it? They'll probably take it from Halloween and start at Freddie's childhood or something stupid and Englund will be his Dad! Or he'll be one of the teachers.

Yeah, I suspect that they'll be a cameo in it somewhere.

I checked out IMDB and he's not listed so unless he's making an uncredited appearance it doesn't look like he's appearing at all.

I've come across a couple of articles that states he's definately won't be doing a cameo. Though he is looking forward to seeing the film apparently.

Wow im going to a horror conv. at the end of April. If i see him Im goin to have a firm conversation with him about this. I might have to tear his face off, or not he is my hero, but seriously he should not be looking forward to this.
