Welcome back Hawkeye! As you know the werewolf world has been pretty quiet lately what with all the teen romance of twlight, although we've had a good times with Being Human and The Wolf Man remake. Didn't catch Doctor Who i'm afraid but i'm sure he won't be as good as David Tennant! Check this out, you might enjoy it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwFJd5lClpQGood to have you back x

Love the Naschy tribute, first saw it a couple of months ago. Thanks!
Youtube is a gift from the Gods! Makes me wonder why I still don't have an account?
I have to admit I was never really a 'David-Tennant-sort-of-guy' so I'm looking forward to more Matt Smith! But the bastards redesigned the Daleks. Basterds...BASTARDS!!!

Welcome back. Now go and make lots of posts on the other threads!
I know what you mean about the daleks. Didn't mind themy colouring them up like in the old Peter Cushing films, but when I saw the basic shape of them I thought they looked fat, couch potato kind of fat. Was happy to see them taller, as always thought they were a bit short, but they do need to go on a diet.
They each have names too, like drone and supreme. Oddest name is Eternal (mainly because no one knows what it means/signifies, not even the writters and director).
Don't like the new doctor personally, but he may grow on me. Do like the new assistant though.
2010 werewolf films have been ok, especially with the wolfman, though does seem that twillight and other soppy vamp/romance shows and films are in vogue at the moment.
Looking forward to seeing the Howling film when it's released (next year I think?). I hope they've been brave and done it as an 18 cert and don't cut it down to a pg13.
The V remake has been interesting so far - though I spent most of the first two episodes guessing at which new character was representing which old one(s).

Hollywood seems to be preoccupied with remaking its horror movies at the moment, like 'The Wolf Man' or 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. Not that I'm complaining!
It amuses me how each new horror cycle angers the fans of the previous cycle. First the 80s slashers are considered crude and offensive, now most people consider them to be superior to the remakes. Same thing happened to Hammer Horror...now Chris Lee is a knight!
I like Matt Smith as the Doctor, he has the classic Doctor 'look' (a bit Patrick Troughton-ish). I'm quite partial to the classic series, which is also why I'm not keen on the new Daleks on the block...

I love the old Dr Who series, I own pretty much every one that it's possible to get.
Interesting how the new Doctor is being compared to different old versions. Some, like yourself mention him feeling like Patrick Troughton, others I've heard compare him to Colin Baker's Doctor.
If think I'm just feeling it jar with his age, the way his playing the doctor, and his look, The three aspects just don't seem to fit together well in my head.
But, it's early days so I'm sure I'll grow to appreciate him as the new Doctor.

It was Colin's outfit that was hard to cope with. If they'd put him in a better look, I think he'd have been more popular.

I just saw the director's cuts of the first few episodes of Series 5 (aka Season 31). I'm still out on both the new doctor and companion. The doctor has his moments, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I like him yet. (The food scene in the first episode was pretty funny though, and there have been a few other ood moments of hilarity.) The new companion is okay I guess, but I'm getting tired of the whole companion in love with the doctor theme. At least the plot seems interesting.
I'm most interested by Rose and the 9/10 doctors. Still wondering over the Bad Wolf meme.
