Yes i know this is a movie pro-board but i have a question, has anyone else read Hour of the Wolf? and as an aside so i don't make too many threads about novels, saint peters wolf? the werewolf novel that was almost banned in some parts because it quotes the bible concerning when saint peter was gifted to create a protector for mankind on earth and he created what we call werewolves, see in the bible the greatest fantasy novel ever written it has werewolves too and they are good guys .

It's fine to mention books etc in the general category, that's where i usually mention them. Who wrote it?

Nope, not read them. I tend not to read werewolf books. I'm not a big fan of modern day settings in the novels I read, and werewolf novels tend to be set in modern times. I tend to go for Fantasy/sci-fi or ancient times (ie rome, medevil, trible settings).

I thought this was going to be a topic about the 1967 film "Hour Of The Wolf". Do you mean "The Wolf's Hour" by Robert R. McCammon (Werewolf that kills Nazis)? I have not read it but I have a copy of it in my library.

The Wolf's Hour by Robert R. McCammon is a great novel and one of my faves. It's basically a WW2 thriller with the hero being a secret agent and a werewolf who's out to foil dastardly Nazi plans. He's a kind of 1940's supernatural James Bond. You also get continual flashbacks to his werewolf origins. It's a great read. A must for all werewolf fans. www.amazon.com/Wolfs-Hour-Robert-R-McCammon/dp/0671731424I've also read St Peter's Wolf by Michael Cadnum. And that was a pretty good read too told with a rather poetic prose and with a nice angle of the familiar mythology. www.amazon.com/Saint-Peters-Wolf-M-Cadnum/dp/0821741837

Cadnum took his idea from something in the bible itself, sorry did a degree in Divinity so had to read through the lovely religious texts and also did a paper on mythology focusing on werewolves as it's quite unexplored surprisingly enough.
