Meh. It just gets my hackles up when a small group professes themselves keepers of the One True Way and everyone else is just delusional.

Freeborn has been on hiatus while I did another film. The film never got the funding it needed at the time, but its being restarted with indiegogo. There are several new videos now on the 'freebornthemovie' site on youtube explaining the various ins and outs of this thing. ALSO, just loaded up an answer video. "Freeborn- The Controversy (The horror vs. Furry werewolf smackdown).. Time to get some things straight about this flick.

"Freeborn- The Controversy (The horror vs. Furry werewolf smackdown).. Time to get some things straight about this flick. Anthony, you seem like a reasonable person. Moreso than many members of "The Pack" that I've encountered. We of the "horror werewolf" fanbase (whom I will refer to from here on out as goretards) seemsto only recently begun to lash out against the "furry werewolves" (which I will refer to as cuddletards) and the backlash mostly seems to have started out on Deviantar, where we are outnumbered ten to one by furries, otherkin and all manner of cuddletard and cuddletard subspecies. Deviantart, as you may or may not know, is a brutal and lawless land densely packed with all manner of drama whores where the only way to gain any kind of foothold against your rivals is to gather the herd to you or appeal to the mods' political idealogy. It is, in many ways, youtube with furry porn and Sonic ocs. It is there that a counter movement began, in response to repeated cuddletard incursions into goretard territory to bitch about how our werewolves aren't cuddly and wolfy enough. In frustration, much like how The Pack partly came together out of frustration with werewolf movies, many of my fellows have begun to group together to bitch about The Pack and their ilk. As far as I know, there have not been any large scale flame wars between the two groups. As far as I know most cuddletards are not even aware there is a counter movement but Freeborn's revival seems to now make such a direct conflict inevitable. One thing is for certain, in the coming years there will be much butthurt and lawlz to be had.

Please don't call me a goretard. gorehound is accepable and long established across the horror scene, and sounds cooler And as I never sent any suggestions for Freeborn (mainly because I don't go on the sites that it was asking on, and I believe it had already gone past the time when it was being talked about when I heard of the film), I see little point in complaining on what ideas have gone into it, until the film is finished and we can all sit down and watch it. Then we can either praise or bitch about it ;D I'm rather interested to see how it turns out in the end if it does get made.

As a goretard myself, who prefers werewolves be horror monsters because that's what they are, your objection has been noted. Rejected, but noted.

And, that's how it's supposed to be my friend. We should always take note of other peoples comments, but than decided ourselves whether we agree or not, in a calm and polite way.
And to that aim. I've noted your rejection and conclude that I'm right and your wrong, so there!!

“Freeborn” is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo to film the world’s first full female werewolf TF with practical, prosthetic effects, in the vein of the original “Howling” and “An American Werewolf in London.” This is something that truly hasn’t been done before with an actress, and the last time any kind of practical makeup werewolf TF with this level of detail has even been attempted was with those two aforementioned movies over 30 years ago. That’s the good news. The bad news is that filming a sequence of this kind isn’t cheap, and they need your help. Please visit their Indiegogo campaign at the link below and contribute whatever you can, so we can finally see a full female werewolf TF with practical effects become a reality! Thank you.
