The grass is only greener when you use the fake kind, or don't let anyone walk on it.

Has anyone else seen or heard about this movie? It's a made-for-TV film that aired on Nickelodeon last year.
It's very predictable and cheesy in a modern way, very obviously tailored towards late elementary/middle school/early high school kids. That said, I actually enjoyed it. You've got your bookish, socially awkward pretty girl (made to seem somewhat less pretty through glasses and a ponytail), her sympathetically troublesome younger brother who's mainly acting out because of the death of his mother, and their hard-working but down-on-his-luck single father. They find out that their late matriarch had a brother in Romania when they receive word that he's passed away and left everything to them, including his famous castle (Wolfsberg Manor; real subtle, guys). They go over there, the father meets a lady whom he takes to quickly, the girl (Jordan) accidentally gets turned into a werewolf and becomes more outgoing and free-spirited, and the boy (Hunter) has to try to cure her so she isn't a werewolf forever. And eventually, vampires show up.
The cheesy and predictable parts are easily overlooked in my mind when considering the strengths of the film: Great werewolf costumes (not CGI renderings), some fun over-the-top acting when Jordan first experiences her heightened senses, and, maybe best of all, Brooke Shields as Madam Vorcolac, the mysterious, stereotypically Romanian caretaker of the Manor. Every time her name is mentioned, a wolf howls, a reference to Frau Blücher from Young Frankenstein.
I would have loved this movie if I'd seen it when I was 12, so I think that's why I like it now. It's nowhere near perfect, and it's got some plot and logic holes, but it's sort of a feel-good film for me. I saw it online on a Chinese website, but I had to suffer through a lot of buffering and loading. I can link you to it if you want, but if it ever shows up on Nickelodeon again, you might want to catch it.

The only thing I liked about this movie was the werewolf costume. Very tweeny, but not a bad movie by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just way outside the target audience.
