Just watched this film yesterday and enjoyed it.
It's a comedy staring Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis as the titled roles. I was surprised when watching it, to see a number of familiar faces show up in small to medium parts in the film. LIke Christopher Lee, Ronnie Corbit, Bill Bailey, to name three.
The comedy in the film was along the lines of the situations going wrong, more than one liners or silly behavour on part of the characters (though one or two scenes did have the silly behavour comedy which was done just right for the film). It technically would be classed as a dark comedy, but the comedy is definately more prominant than the dark theme.
And it was directed by John Landis, of American Werewolf in London Fame.
The story is basically about two fellows, Burke and Hare, who end up getting involved in selling corpses to a Doctor for his college to use to cut up when teaching. But due to circumstance they find helping people become corpses is easier than digging them up.
I think the quote below, which comes from the opening credits sums it up rather well:
"This is based on a true story . . . apart from the parts that we made up".
It's a film I'd say is worth watching and buying.

I saw this movie when it was on at the pictures. It wasn't bad actually although i kinda felt they showed all the best bits in the trailer. But it does have Simon Pegg in it who is always good to watch. Andy Serkis was good but Isla Fisher gets on my nerves in it a little bit. Christopher Lee was brilliant even though it was only a tiny part but then again he's always worth watching. It was a good film but i don't know whether i would rush out and buy it straight away.

It is fun and it' a very light look at something that is incredibly famous in Edinburgh. There is a police station museum on the Royal Mile in Edinbrugh that has a wallet on display that is made from skin of william burke and his actual skellington is on display at the medical museum In Edinburgh. It was shut for exams when i was there but they show you the skellington at the end of the film.

Edinburgh is a very cool! Is was there a few years back and it was so much fun. I'm not one for ghost tours, but I HIGHLY recommend 'Adam Lyal's Witchery Tales'.
