It seems your wish may come true (in the UK, anyway)... Lobos de Arga (aka Game of Werewolves and now aka Attack of the Werewolves) is said to garner a dvd release in the UK flickfeast.co.uk/feature/lobos-de-arga-2011/Short blurb from the above citation- *click the link for the full article* Lobos De Arga (2011) Feature, Film Reviews — By Kevin Matthews on April 2, 2012 at 8:00 am AKA Game Of Werewolves (IMDb) AKA Attack Of The Werewolves (UK release title). There’s no point in beating about the bush with a movie like this. It’s the best werewolf movie to have been released in years and it’s one of the best comedy horrors that I’ve had the pleasure of seeing with no advance word of mouth. Lobos De Arga is THAT good. There are very few films that I wholeheartedly recommend without reservation but I tell you now

Probably keywold. They seem to think UK audiences are thick, as proved when they changed the title of the The Avengers movie to The Avengers Assemble. I mean no one is gonna confuse it with the tv show!

This is available on DVD for £8.98 at Tesco. Picked it up on Monday, i've yet to watch it but my friend saw it at Grimfest over the weekend and he really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing it

Okay this is showing on the Horror Channel as part of the Howling Mad Season.
This is quite simply a great movie. One of the better werewolf movies i've seen for a while. The story revolves around Tomas who is a mediocre writer who returns after a 15year absence to the village he was born it to be award the freedom of his village. What he doesn't know is that he's the last living male descendant of the mad Marchioness of Marino who left the village cursed and now 100 years later the villagers are planning on using Tomas to help break that curse.
This film has so much going for it. Firstly its a great script. The film is genuinely funny and has some great comedic scenes. The werewolves have been created without the use of CGI which is always a plus in my book and whilst the look of the werewolves isn't my favorite (i prefer the Dog Soldiers or Bad Moon designs) they still look great. This is definitely worth a watch.

I agree werewolf, a really fun movie and well worth a watch.
For Howling Mad season the horror channel is showing a werewolf movie every friday night at 10.55pm. Still to come is Ginger Snaps, 13 Hrs and Attack of the Werewolves (the UK title for Lobos De Arga). Don't worry if you missed last friday's entry, as it was Splintered, which is A) Not a werewolf movie; and B) Not very good.

When I first saw your mention of splintered, I mis-remembered the name and thought you were talking about Splinter, which is a great film. After looking it up and watching a trailer to splintered I can see why your saying it's not a good film.
I hate it when films names are too similar.

Not yet seen Splinter but want to. That's the one with the infection in isn't it?
Have now seen Splintered but will comment on the appropriate post.

yes, Splinter is the one where there is an infection, a fungus/parasitic black stuff that takes over it's host, twisting and mutating them as it grows through them.
