DVD release date end of October on Amazon.
Story is set in a 19th century village, where a series of attacks cause a young man studying under a local doctor to join a team of hunters on the trail of a wolf-like creature.
IMDB gives the following rating for the film:
"Rated R for bloody violence and grisly images throughout"
I've not seen a trailer for it yet, but the above gives me hopes it'll be a decent werewolf film.

Thanks for the trailer. Looks pretty good I think. Though the full werewolf looked CGI'd but I won't hold it against the film.

Has this been going under another title? I haven't heard anything about it until now, and it's that close to release?
Then again, there's only a couple of sites I refer to (UHM and BD) when looking for what's coming up. Last I checked, only Jack and Diane and the stripper/werewolf movie were the only ones coming out about this time. Nice to know there's more to look forward to. Not a bad looking trailer.

Seemed to sneak up on me too. They must not have made effort to promote it.

Okay, so I'm not crazy and it could have been listed under another title. Either way, I'll be on the lookout now.

psst, Dryst, you are crazy . . . we all are, but not let it worry you unless you've ever woken up naked in the forest or zoo.

Not my fault I built up a tolerance to my meds. Hey, if the doc was serious about having me take those pills "twice daily on an empty stomach," he wouldn't have ordered me a bottle with 60 in it to begin with.
And don't get me started on the sleepwalking; it was never mentioned as a side effect. All they put on the label is "may cause drowsiness and/or mild death." Pretty sure I've got a good law suit on my hands here. If I'm not alone, maybe we can get a class action thing going...

Amazon has already made the digital version of the film available--more than a week in advance of the DVD. I watched it, and it's definitely not as bad as I thought it would be. The werewolf hunters are pretty stupid (and anachronistic), and the ending is a cynically designed cop-out to make room for sequels, but in between there's some good material, and you can see how the material sprang from The Wolfman. The werewolf is CGI but wisely often kept in the shadows, and there's a decent reversion transformation.

Hopefully they'll show it on Sky at some point and then i'll catch it. Unless of course the DVD is very reasonably priced when released this close to halloween.

Well, It's costing me £7.49 from amazon.co.uk, which I think is pretty reasonable.
