The Banana Splits Movie (2019) SyFy had it on, gore and all. Had to see it again. Crazy idea crazily carried out. Love it! Much better than I expected. The first time I heard of it I thought it was a joke, something The Onion might do. But incredibly it turned out to be real. This sort of thing needs to be done with great care. It is too easy to screw it up by not adhering to the underlying premise or making fun of the premise. They did it just right. The Splits are not guys in funny suits but real entities. Now throw in the show is getting canceled. What the heck are these things going to do now? ANGER! What happens then is perfectly logical within the basic premise.

Lord help me. I went back for seconds and finished off The Fiancé. It did not get any better. And it appears she maybe did do a Bobbitt on him. Rise: Blood Hunter (2007)
There is something about this movie that bothered me, a thread of wrong that seems to run through it. There is good stuff to be sure. Lots of blood. Good camera work. The idea is a good one. Vampire victim is made into one against her will, seeks revenge on the bloodsucker gang. But I could not really buy into it. The movie did not make me believe it. Part of the problem is that there is only one person doing any real acting in the movie - Lucy Liu. And she tries her best, which is considerable as always, but it does not save the movie.
Or is it me?
