Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
Okay, I'm not gonna say I ponied up a chunk of the overtime money we're getting now to get a Playstation VR headset just to watch 3D movies, but I'm not *not* saying that, ya know?
But finally, after having the Blu-ray set for a while, I was able to sit back and watch this little gem in proper 3D for the first time in ages (when I downloaded a rough anaglyph 3D version from somewhere).
Still a fun flick, even with (or maybe because of?) the repetitive music 'sting' whenever the Creature stuck his hand out somewhere.
Met the underwater Creature, Ricou Browning, at a con a few years back and got an autographed photo so that was nice.

There's been several attempts to remake this one over the yrs. GDT's attempt ended up being The Shape of Water.

The House of Seven Corpses (1974) Grave of the Vampire (1972) No pun intended, these two actually kind of suck. But in a good way.

Saw this way back as well on TV a few times most recently on TCM with no commercials. When I first saw it in the movies, it was not the original release but this was when studios did not worry about small theaters playing movies not officially re-released using copies obtained from someplace as long as they ponied up the money for it. This was in the days when movie studios were scared of the burgeoning TV scene and it was even made illegal to show a movie made after 1946 on TV. I remember those flimsy cardboard red/blue cellophane 3D glasses like the guy wears in Back to the Future. I do not recall that there was a whole lot of effective 3D stuff in Creature.

No pun intended, these two actually kind of suck. But in a good way. Welcome back, missed you. Had an accident. I was walking down the road and a car that did not obey the 'move over for pedestrians when there are no sidewalks' rule. came along. Wound up stepping briskly into the deep leaves on the rather steep shoulder. Found out there was a plastic coke bottle under there and went for a brief flying lesson. Luckily this was not on the side of the road with the rock lined deep drainage ditch. Still had to go to the nearby Emergent Care center. Nothing broken or torn but enough soft tissue damage in my previously injured shoulder and knee which are also plagued with arthritis. They gave me a small prescription for Percoset (10 pills). I have not even had low dose codeine for several years because of War on Opioids rules against anything other than short term scripts without authorization from up on high by the Prince of Darkness. Well between alternating between pain and drug induced relative non-pain I was unable to concentrate on movies. I spent a lot of time watching Got Talent stuff on YT with my laptop and headphones (short attention span stuff) often with the TV on but the sound off. Why? I dunno. It gets really weird when you get confused and think the sound is from the TV History Channel Hitler documentary stuff. that you are looking at. Anyway thanks for the welcome back.

Well, that doesn't sound like any fun at all. Hope you're doing better. Getting better, thank you. Still hurts. Actually the arthritis and old injury stuff always hurt. That is why they used to let me have low dose codeine. But the new injuries have abated enough that I can actually have a life again. Still got a few pills in reserve though. But at least it does not take me ten minutes to realize I accidentally turned to a Spanish station. Which means I will able to once again use horror movies as my pain killer of choice.

Mutant (1984)
I'd like to see Wings Hauser and Bo Hopkins team up again.
Along with his son Cole, in a remake of this one.

For the time period, always thought this one was quite bloody.
