A Quiet Place: Day One (2024)
The arrival of the sound-hating aliens, as seen from a New Yorker's point of view.
Angel 4: Undercover (1994)
The "lost" sequel. It's not been included in any Angel collections and I'm pretty sure the last official disc release was on LaserDisc. Anyway, in this one, the former child 'lady of the evening' brings the Angel persona back out to investigate the murder of a friend of hers from the old days.
Borderlands (2024)
I don't know anything about the games so I didn't have to worry about anything being wrong in that regard. Good cast - Jamie Lee Curtis, Cate Blanchett, Ariana Greenblatt, Kevin Hart - but I've yet to be terribly interested in anything Eli Roth has directed and this didn't change that.
Troppo
Finished off the two seasons of this on Amazon Prime. Not sure if there are or will be more but I'll watch 'em if they show up. Thomas Jane as a disgraced cop pairing up with Nicole Chamoun's convicted murderer to solve crimes in the small Australian town of Crimson Lake.

We're neck-deep in overtime (tis the season and all that) so time for movie-watching is even harder to scrounge up right now and probably for the next few weeks, but....
Jason X (2001)
I couldn't take the day off but there was no way I was letting a Friday the 13th pass without watching at least one Jason flick, and this one was goofy enough that I knew I could stay awake for it.
Also played a quick offline round of the Friday the 13th game that unfortunately had to be abandoned by the makers due to the copyright problems. Now they've got a Texas Chainsaw Massacre game but I think it's solely multiplayer and I don't do that.
The Final Destination (2009)
I always enjoy these and managed to dig up the 3D Blu-ray. This is the one that starts with the accident at the racetrack.
Also cancelled AppleTV+ and subscribed to Acorn so I could catch up on My Life is Murder (with Lucy Lawless) and Harry Wild (with Jane Seymour).

Still on heavy overtime...
Prometheus (2012)
Still in a bit of an ALIEN mood after Romulus (okay, I'm usually in an ALIEN mood, I guess) but it's not been that long since I watched the originals. And still don't much care for this one but I do love Charlize Theron and Noomi Rapace.

Canary Black (2024)
Kate Beckinsale's latest Amazon Prime action movie. Have to admit the old comic fan in me kept being distracted because I'm well aware of the character of Black Canary. Still, Kate looking snazzy and kicking butt always works for me. I'm a simple man.
