Neil Marshall (of Dog Soldiers fame) recently posted that while the long-talked-about sequel to Dog Soldiers was dead, there was no reason he couldn't make a different werewolf movie. At this point it sounds like it's just in the "thinking about it" phase as they still need financing and such, but still - here's hoping!
