I just saw it at Best Buy on DVD. I didn't get it, because I'd rather rent it first. I looked it up on Amazon, and it looks expensive there, but I don't think it was more than $15 American at Best Buy.

Every now and then i do a search for werewolf DVDs on amazon to see if anything is getting it's UK release. This movie hasn't got any date for a UK release. I also keep checking for a UK release of Bad Moon but alas, nothing.

Barely worth a rental, let alone $15. Just...not good.

I predict that this movie is better than "The Feeding."

Okay, I saw it finally. It wasn't bad, really. There are a few things I would have done differently, but that goes for a lot of movies. This is just a simple slasher flick with a werewolf who talks and stereotypical characters. The actor who plays the evil step-father is pretty good, though a little over-the-top at times. When the monster talks, he comes off as a wannabe Freddy Kreuger, constantly making bad jokes as he rips people up and rapes girls. They chose a bad sound effect for his howl, though; sounds like a pissed off cow.
I don't think I'm going to buy it, but I might watch it again with the commentary before I return it. I say it's definitely worth a look by werewolf fans. The production quality is almost theater worthy, as is the acting.
Ah, yes, and there is a transformation scene (well, one and a half...the first one's just a tease). It's pretty good, nothing out-of-this-world. Part of it features mediocre CGI that reminded me of "Darkwolf," but it wasn't nearly that bad. I might put a clip of it online for you who care to preview it. I know that can make or break a movie for a number of werewolf fans.
Overall, the movie was exponentially better than "The Feeding" or "Darkwolf." I liked "Bad Moon" better, though.

Rapes girls??? Not in werewolf form surely? Yep, in werewolf form. The director wanted the werewolf to reflect the inner "id" of the human, all his carnal desires and bad habits. And the man who becomes the wolf is a pretty bad guy to begin with. And he's a perv. So are the frat boys who go to the cabin at the beginning of the movie; you don't feel a lot of sympathy for them, that's for sure.

I love to watch frat boys get killed! How much of the rape do you see? Must look a bit kinky if he's in wolf form. Kinda like a bad animal farm!

You see a naked girl with a wolf man behind her. And then he rips her throat out and goes after her boyfriend.

I'd like to check this one out... still no word on a UK release? No. I checked the other day. It's the same with a lot of movies and is one of the main reasons i have gone out and bought a multi-regional DVD player.
