I love the subway scene in American Werewolf in London, especially the long shot from the top of the escalator when the wolf just steps into frame.

Good choice! I love that part too, and always think about it when I'm at tottenham court road tube station (where they filmed it)!

'I can assure you this isn't the least bit amusing!' There's a nice little tribute to the subway scene in Spaced if anyone watches it.

I liked the scenes in "Underworld Evolution" where Michael fights werewolves, especially when he rips one of their jaws off.
Also, if you wanted to trick me into thinking "Cursed" was a good movie before I saw it, you could've shown me the parking lot/elevator scene where Mya gets killed. I didn't say that before, did I?

Don't remember that happening at end of wolf. I'll have to rewatch it now

Yeah, that's what happened. It was all a bit subtle, but that's Mike Nichols for you.

Here are a couple scenes that I like...
Opening of Dog Soldiers where the zipper gets opended up on the tent. We all know what's out there! Also, from DS, the secone or two the werewolf looks eye to eye with the dog. I don't know if that was planned or not, but the shot was fun!
Also, how can anyone go wrong with ANY of the scenes in Bad Moon where the hero German Shepherd Thor is involved! I escpecially enjoy when Thor marks his territory and when he "checks" on the mom & boy before they go to bed. It really happens with GSDs.
I believe someone mentioned the Ginger Snaps Prequel scene where ginger has an army of werewolves walk in with her...awesome camera shot!

Yeah, that's what happened. It was all a bit subtle, but that's Mike Nichols for you. Yeah. She doesn't actually change but she comments that she can smell booze on someone and says something like "i could smell it a mile away"

Got a few Dog Soldiers: The sarge is wounded in bed & the cottage is under siege, Cooper hears noises coming from upstairs & the scene changes to an image of the sarge, asleep in bed, the window open to the end of the room and a huge werewolf poised with arms stretched wide and craws hanging at the foot of the bed... Eeesh, nightmare image. Silver Bullet:Marty is lighting fireworks on the bridge and the camera ( to that slow, looming danger music ) pans slowly along the river-water, "apparently" filming the reflecting of the fireworks in the water... until one firework reflecting is loomed by the form of the werewolf, it happens so fast and its easy to miss... but if you catch it, .... spooooky. Dog Soldiers (again) After arriving in the cottage, the party decides to head back to town, goes outside and discovers the car engine has been ripped to shreds, theres some confusion and the scene changes from the soldiers to the car, thru the windows of the car we suddenly see the long claws of a werewolf behind the car, slowly brushing its hand along the window pane as it begins to "circle". Cooper cautions "Don't shoot", "Don't stare back" > Spoon replies (frozen in fear) "Can't help it"... great line, about describes it.
