Ok, so I'm a computer caveman. How do I give myself an avatar? I got to the profile edit part but not sure what to put in the 'URL' box.

You just enter the URL (web address) of any image you can find online. So for instance if you entered www.toonopedia.com/werewolf.jpg it would give you this as an avatar:  |

Did the same thing myself. saved the picture I'd picked to my hard drive only to find out it wanted an online address, hehe. Had to go hunting for it again.

you should never leach of off other sites pictures. Thats the first rule of internet ettiquet. For everytime someone sees your avatar, it caunts as if someone downloads it off of their site. so if its to much the site might crash. So save it and re-upload it to an image uploading site like imageshack.us
