Watched this episode last night. I cried all the way through the ending, it was so touching!
I was a little disappointed that they did not attempt a transformation scene but i'd rather they didn't do one than bugger the attempt up. I wasn't surprised by who the werewolf was as the episode pretty much set it up for you. An unusual one i have to say. I don't think i've seen much werewolf TV where the person ends the night back in bed looking perfect and well rested but i guess that was intended to lead you to draw other conclusions.
Fingers crossed they come accross another werewolf in future episodes.

I'd have liked the werewolf to have been less wolfman looking and more quadroped. I think it would have suited the overall series better. Mind you I've been enjoying series 2 less than I did series 1. Series 1's storylines just seemed to have a darker edge to them.
With the werewolf being such an iconic entity, I'd have liked to have seen more done with the story, maybe having it as a 2 parter.

Yeah a two parter would have been tops!

According to my channel guide, tonight's "Supernatural" repeat is their werewolf episode "Heart."
Check local listings, yadda yadda yadda.....

Would of been a lot better if the werewolves actually looked anything like werewolves They just got different colored eyes, pointy teeth and cornchip looking claws...*groans* Kindof sad when you have to look at somebodies nail's to see if the transformed back or not. lol At least glue some yak hair on em or something. Not even trying! I have no idea how that lady who inspected the first dead body got to the conclusion a wolf did it. Thats oddily specific for some non-animal biologist. Also, how could those werewolf bites look anything like a real wolf's bite? They dont even have any kind of muzzle to fit in that many teeth. Never watched Supernatural before, so sorry to any fans out there

With any luck as the show becomes more popular (fingers crossed) their budget will increase and then they can attempt another episode. I do see what you mean about the teeth marks though! I'd never given that any thought!

Yeah, usually the show does have some pretty cool creature designs and special effects. Unfortunately the werewolf wasn't too great. Can't fault the episode other than that, though.

I guess they low-keyed the werewolf in an attempt to keep some audience sympathy (and to make them recognizable without having to waste time with transformation scenes). It did seem like a lower budget episode.
Don't let this be your only episode of the show. It's pretty cool.

A little off topic, but I liked the hellhound episode.

A little off topic, but I liked the hellhound episode. Hellhound one? You'll have to remind me. Is that the one with the people selling their souls and then 10 years later it's time to pay up?

Yeah, that was a great episode. I liked how they incorporated the true legend of Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil to become a great guitarist.
I tried it myself, but the devil isn't taking my calls.

Did you remember to put Hell's area code at the front of the number you were calling, after all it's an international call.
Yes werewolf, that's the one. Though thinking about it, isn't there a couple of episodes regarding selling souls?
