This is really ridiculous that they'd just stop a series without letting anyone know for a whole month!
Whoever is in charge of ITV2 needs their heads banging together!!

hmm, I think I'll pull out my season 1 of supernatural and watch a favourite episode each week at the same time and day as I would have normally watched a new episode, until it's back.

Man, the werewolf Ep of season two was one of the two worst episodes out of the first two seasons. That werewolf looked like total shit. What a bunch of cheap cunts, just slap some fake teeth and claws on a girl and call it a werewolf. Fucking disgraceful. And I'm a big fan of the show, too.

Well i guess you do what you can with the budget you've got. I'd rather that type of cheap werewolf than them attempt anything CGI and end up with something like DarkWolf. Plus i'm beginning to think the reason they didn't have her transform is so we would feel more sympathy for the character, it didn't really make her any less human which of course made it harder for Sam in the end. Fingers crossed that as popularity grows so will the budget and they might come up with a major werewolf character at another point, however i get the feeling this might be an X-Files kinda thing where we only get one werewolf related character in the whole show.

Yup, I think we've had our werewolf.
Talking of similarities between the two shows, I noticed supernatural seems to be going the same way as X-Files did. With the early seasons having lots of different "creatures" to be encounted, and then ending up sticking to a single storyarch. Supernatural seems to be the same, with the early season having all kinds of ghosts, monsters, and supernatural stuff, but now it's just all about demons.
They need to start thinking about introducing more non-demon stories in the next season. Half the fun of watching the first series was to see what monster/creature they were up against and how the common held myth of that particular thing translated across into the show.
Should be back on this weekend shouldn't it? *crosses fingers*

They do plenty of good FX with other monsters. They could have come up with a serviceable werewolf if they tried. The shitty "werewolf" aside, the episode was just crap. And I agree, I'm in the minority, but I tend to enjoy "monster of the week" type episodes of shows like X-Files or Angel or whatever more than episodes dealing with a story-arch.

That's exactly what all that stuff is werewolf Oh, and supernatural has started again btw. Managed to catch the episode last weekend when I was flicking through the channels. Apparently there's 4 episodes. The announce said something about they being 4 "special" episodes prior to the start of the new season. This I believe is a fib. What they actually are, are the last 4 episodes of the current season that they stopped showing a month and a half ago. If you missed it, you didn't miss much. It was one of those comedy episodes, that didn't work too well. It re-introduced you to those geeks that had set up the haunted house online in a previous episode. In last weekends one they had moved on to being some kind of ghostbusters or investigators or something.

Season 4 of Supernatural is starting on ITV2 this Sunday (25th Jan) at 9pm. Bit of a bugger really as it will clash with Being Human. No word yet on whether this season will have any werewolf themed episodes.

Right well i haven't been able to find out about all the episodes in Season 4 as they are only releasing information on those episodes that have already been shown in the US. A few episodes into Season 4 is a show called Monster Movies where Dean and Sam investigate the murders of several town residents who have all been in killed in ways resembling attacks from iconic movie monsters prompting them to believe a shapeshifter is behind it. One of the victims is attacked by a werewolf!

Great news about season 4 starting! if you cannot make those times, you could always watch it online through ITV's website, for up to 30 days after it's shown on TV. Which I can do much better now with my 22inch monitor I finally got round to buying season 3 last week (should be delivered any day now). Took me ages to buy it. I admit I was put off supernatural a bit by season 2, but they were selling season 3 for £9 so I grabbed it. Like some others, I'm hoping season 4 will have more varied episodes rather than have the season still dominated by the demon storyarch. Or at least make the demons a little more varied, its not like they've not a host to pick from all different.
