I just finished watching part 4 of "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy", a four part Doctor Who adventure from Sylvester McCoy's second season as the Doctor, which I watched this week.
Let's get right down to buisiness, this show is really light on werewolvery, infact, it's little more than a great cliffhanger for episode 3-4. The whole werewolf subplot doesn't get very detailed, but I don't really care, the show was great as it is.
This serial is about the Doctor and Ace (Sophie Aldred, yum) landing near a Circus in which every act is killed mysteriously after performing. The Doctor discovers that the only 3 people in the audience are infact some kind of alien gods forcing people to entertain them.
I had a good time with this one, as I do with most McCoy era-advertures (to few of those, the show was cannceled after McCoy's 3rd season, the 26th for Doctor Who). I really like the energetic and neatly designed adventures from Doctor Who's last 3 seasons, Ace is a neat companion, the effects are quite good for Doctor Who standards, and stories don't drag on for 6 episodes whitout anything really happening (like in most Tom Baker stories, great actor, but let's face it, most of his adventures are boring). I can recommend this and most other Doctor Who adventures from the last two seasons.
Some advise for Doctor Who in general, don't watch all episodes of one adventure at once. Most of them work beter when they are given the time they were ment to have. Also, most of the cool cliffhangers end up being rather disapointing when viewing episodes back to back.
