i cant belive you guys did not see this movie until recently. Not sure how it was released in the UK but here in the USA it was at the theater. Went to go see it several times. Would be great if they would make more werewolf movies like this oine. As far as i know it never made it to the general cinemas in the UK because as a huge ww movie fan i would have gone and seen it. And i always check the listing of those cinemas that usually show independant movies just in case but i never saw it. Cinemas round my end are crap! |

Yup, was never out at the cinema as far as I know over here. Was straight to VHS. And not that widely distributed than.

As the genre goes, this movie ranks pretty high in my opinion. The really great werewolf movies are few and far between. To me, they're all worth watching once, but the ones that demand repeat viewing really stand out. "Bad Moon" is one of those movies. Very well done and not too much cheese. And the werewolf design is one of the best!

I watched the film last night too And, there's nothing wrong with you. the werewolf is cute. Shame they weren't able to get a bigger german shephard, as Thor looked pretty normal size to me for one. (There used to be a long coat black and grey one that lived om my street that was HUGE!! used to sleep on the pavement in hot weather and was funny watching people having to walk on the road to get past him.) Infact I had one friend who refused to get out of his car when he saw it - He was adament it was a wolf. |

Bad Moon is definatly in my top 10 for Werewolf Films. I love it. I used to rent in all the time untill I finally bought it on VHS.

Very enjoyable werewolf movie!
Some highlights (for me):
- Dog pissing on Ted's trailer
- Ted pissing on Thor's dog house (what a jerk lol)
- "GET THE FUCK OFF MY SON!" lol

The werewolf design was like a blend of the Howling and American Werewolf in London with the tall big ear lean two legged wolf and fierce yellow eyes and fangs. The werewolf unlike the ones in the Howling that were in complete darkness was in bright light and graphically exposed, fx guys weren't afraid to show off what they created.
It's probably the coolest werewolf I've seen, it felt realistic in design and was imposing as Predator.

It's only on VHS in the UK I saw the cover in a rental video place 14 years ago with a 18 certificate, I got a region 2 DVD outside the UK from Denmark.
