Debating whether or not to buy the american version when it comes to DVD. I've got the first two seasons of the UK version already, and preordered season 3. It'd be interesting to see the differences between the two shows.

Another new Ep. of the American version, last was a mix of Tully and that girl Aiden really liked but drained and the "bad" Vampires brought her back to life and now she didn't like being a vampire.
I still wish i hadn't watched the BBC version first, makes the american ones seem smushed.

I'm really starting to enjoy the American version of Being Human, the Ep. that played tonight was very good, some new elements and a few different directions for the characters. Don't worry, i won't spoil anything for those wanting to watch it.

I like the American version. It's different enough to warrant actually existing but similar enough so that it can actually be called Being Human. Not-Annie isn't a good an actress as Real-Annie, but she's cute and I like her energy.
Werewolf transformation is still miles behind the original though.
I'm also kind of confused why everyone is wagging their fingers at Not-Tully for being "racist" against vampires. Considering that every vampire we've seen on the show who isn't Not-Mitchell seems to be a sociopathic murderer who eats people. If I had been outside that "vampire bar" I would have rolled smoke bombs into the building and staked the sadistic bastards as they wandered out. Not-Tully's first rule of werewolfery is "don't kill anyone or turn them", vampires seem to get their jollies by biting the heads off small children. How was Not-Tully the bad guy for wailing on those two?
Mind you, Not-Tully did cross the line when he started screwing with Not-Mitchell and I can see why Not-George was kind of shocked afterward. He lost control of the wolf and something similar had just happened only the guy was a human.
I'm digging this. And Being Human series 3 looks great though. After a slow season 2 this one seems to be getting off to a strong start.

The latest Ep. of Being Human (American version) was very uncomfortable to watch. I didn't care for the way the emotional scenes were played out and confused as to why they took this direction.
It has changed though, all that was in the latest Ep. was new, not done by the BBC version. So, I may be able to enjoy the rest of it, I just hope there is no more uncomfortableness.
One thing I do wonder about, is what just happened in the American Being Human what is going on in the 3rd season of the BBC Being Human? I have not seen any of those Ep. yet

Oh hai, crappy CGI werewolf.
You know, I knew it was coming but I still managed to be dissapointed by it. Nice job, Syfy.

they waited this long to show the werewolf in the american version, i agree with komodo. they got rid of the actual transformation they originally were going with and turned the werewolf into a small horribly done dog with little fur. i mean, now you got to see none of the transformation, just the before and after.
I tried watching the Ep. after the one were they finally showed the werewolf, and now i have lost my interest in it.

a bald cgi werewolf? that sounds bad. The BBC werewolf is a fur, teeth and claw man in a suit style - and they improved it in season 2 when they had more money @ wolfline ****SPOILERS FOR BBC VERSION SEASON 3**** The main storylines in season 3 are: (highlight text from here....) 1/ The hunt for the person who killed a train full of people - happened at end of season 2. 2/ George's girlfriend's pregnancy and how their lycanthropy will effect the baby. 3/ A Vampire fight club where they pit humans against werewolves - tied in with two other werewolves that they meet. 4/ Mitchell's fear after being told by a ghost in the afterlife that he'll be killed by a werewolf, and his quest to find out how Henric was ressurected after he died by werewolf.(....To here) The storylines are all mixed together over the course of the series, rather than running one after the other. ****** END SPOLIERS ******

OOh, nice, thank you for filling me in on a little of the third season, it means that the American version is doing it somewhat differently then the BBC version.
I thought some of what the American version is consisting of might have been trickling in from the BBC's third season.
Scratch what i said, the episode tonight proves that they are mixing up the BBC episodes and throwing in a few new quirks and characters.

The new Becoming Human spin off series started over the weekend. Unfortunately I only caught the end of it. Will have to either see if I can find it repeated, or watch it on iplayer online.
In Becoming Human, it deals with a teenage vampire that was introduced for an episode in the 3rd series of Being Human.
He funnily enough meets a ghost and a werewolf at the school he starts attends. Would have been nice if they'd not just replicated the trio (well technically, the ghost is male and the werewolf is female so it's a tiny bit different), as it feels too much a copy having the same group of supernaturals.

New episodes are a lot better than the earlier ones.
The design of the werewolf is okay, but the effects themselves leave a lot to be desired. I still think it would have worked better as a bipedal design.
It would have been awesome if it had been a practical effect, but we all know how Siffy balks at the very idea of putting actual effort into their creature effects so it wasn't really surprising...

I just want to go on record as saying the american version is total crap compared to the british version. Yet again we (US) has taking something the Brits have done first, labeled it as "All new Series," and trashed it.
