On the other hand, fewer episodes means a quicker payoff and less of a commitment from me to watch them. But I'm probably the only one who looks at it that way.

I think short series like being human, shouldn't be annually, but instead two seasons a year

I'm with you Dedwyre, I find it hard to commit to a tv show if I know there's a lot of episodes. I don't watch much TV at all and I can never remember what days/times things are on.

Well, I was going to have the last episode watched by today, but our DVR acted up and I missed it, so I'll have to look for the Thursday repeat.
Of course, I still haven't seen the pilot or series premiere, but I seem to be following it well enough.

Don't worry too much about the pilot. They basically reset the story when they started the series proper with the new cast members.

Now that I've seen it, I will say that I thought it was a fine ending for a season. Hope they do another.
Did they every explain how powerful the vampires were? It seemed odd that the vampire leader would stand there and let George change into a werewolf and kill him, especially if he was strong enough to slash his throat or break his neck or something quick. Perhaps I just takes the idea of vampires being equal in strength or stronger than werewolves for granted.

The vampire couldn't attack George to start with because George had his holy symbol, which was keeping the vampire at bay, and giving George the space he needed to transform.
Season 2 should be very interesting (and it's 2 episodes longer then season 1 was).

Oh, duh. I completely forgot about that ten seconds after the vampire explained it. I'm good at that.

That's alright, easily done.
And it seems that season 2 will be on TV sometime in January 2010 in the UK. I've also heard that their giving the ghost an new outfit - something about a skirt - and that they are going to improve on the look of the werewolf's prosthetics to make him look more dangerous.

Sorry werewolf, I thought everyone had seen it by now. Me and Dedwyre should have put the spoiler warnings up when we were talking about the ending.

Oops. I figured it had already been spoiled before so I wasn't treading on any new territory.

Here's a random observation: In the last episode, Annie uses the word "twat" (I think), but it was silenced out on BBC America. Is it really that offensive of a word? I doubt many Americans have so much as heard it before.
