I finally saw the trailer for the new Incredible Hulk movie. I'm one of the few people who enjoyed the first Hulk remake (with Eric Bana), though I'll admit it had a lot of flaws. I thought they chose good actors for it, though, and the comic book-style cinematography was great.
I'm skeptical about the new one. The Hulk looks good, and the Abomination looks fine; not like the comics version, but he's a huge monstrosity, and that's all that matters. I just don't think I can accept Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. I don't know if it's so much that he's a pretty well-known celebrity (it's usually my opinion that well-known actors and actresses shouldn't be cast as well-known super heroes), or that he just looks too youthful for the part. His voice is nothing like I've ever imagined Banner having. Plus, I can't shake the image of Smoochy the Rhino from my mind, and that's not what I want to think of when I see Bruce Banner, one of the most brilliant scientific minds the world has ever known.

I've not seen a trailer for the new one yet. I think I saw a still of what the hulk will look like, and think he looks better then in the first one.

I'm looking for ward to seeing this one. I wasn't a huge fan of the Eric Bana one as i wasn't keen on the CGI hulk. He seemed too cartoony. Looking forward to seeing Edward Norton put his usual fine performance to it though.

I think it could be gooood. The original had its moments, but I could see why a 'reboot' was needed. And you have to love Edward Norton, even if he is apparently a nightmare to work with.

I like Edward Norton, I just can't see him as a scientist. He'll always be a purple rhino or a neo-Nazi to me.

Death to Smoochy! You wouldn't like Smoochy when he's angry.
To witness the briliance of Edward Norton, though, look no further than his debut performance in 'Primal Fear' and subsequent roles in 'American History X' and 'Fight Club'. It's also well worth seeing him out-act both Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro in 'The Score'.

I've not seen Death to Smoochy. In fact i've never heard of it before now! Fight club is always the one i think of him in, although i did like his perfomance in the Illusionist.

Primal Fear is good. I forgot about Fight Club being a Norton movie for some reason.
Well, my local comic shop owner seems to think that Ed Norton is a perfect Bruce Banner, or at least a perfect scientist character. He also thinks big-name actors playing super heroes is good, because it gives credibility to the movie. I always have the issue of looking at a super hero played by a well-known actor and thinking, "That's so-and-so, the actor," instead of, "That's Daredevil" or whoever.
Speaking of Daredevil, that seems to be the movie that defines the super-hero-played-by-famous-actor stereotype in my circles. I actually think Ben Affleck was a fine Daredevil; the problem with the movie was Jennifer Garner and Colin Farrell's characters. I think whoever wrote and/or directed the Bullseye character ruined him. Either that or Colin did. The character from the comics would have made a great movie character, but instead they made him a soft-spoken Irish dude with a trench coat.

What the hell is that purple rhino thing (pardon my language0? That's Smoochy. He's a kid's show character in Death to Smoochy. It's a movie about the kid's show business being run by mafia-types. It's quite funny. It has Edward Norton, Robin Williams, John Stewart, Danny DeVito, Harvey Firestein, and that little person who used to play Micky on Seinfeld (among other characters on other shows).
