What type of dog collar are we talking. Do you mean an actual id collar for dogs or the type of dog collar a goth would wear?

What kind of werewolf? One that goes full wolf? one that goes wolf but monstrously? one that goes to a biped wolf? or one that gets a hairy face?
I would see one type wearing one, if they live in a city, and don't want to be caught by the city pound. Having a collar would also make people think the wolf more a pet and dog. So as a disguise it may be something one of them would do.
In the wild it'd just get in the way. Though it if looked really pretty with big spikes or armoured overlapping plates . . .

I'm replying early. Regular dog collar or a goth collar, it's all up to you.
Marcus, just put in your ideal werewolf, whatever that mat be.

That case No they wouldn't, as they're bipeds.

Yeah i'd say no as well. In fact know i think about it they're necks always seem to thicken when they transform so i'm guessing if they were a goth transforming into a werewolf the dog collar would break as his his neck expanded.

That's why you wait and put the collar on after they transform. It'd have to be a pretty big one, too. Seriously, if a werewolf wanted to be fashionable, they could do a lot worse than wearing a dog collar. Also, if it's a particularly deviant werewolf, give it one of those shock collars and zap it whenever it kills someone. That'll keep it in line. We must make a movie about this. Like Fido, but with werewolves.

Well I think a Werewolf would ware a collar as a statement of his/her submersion into human society. The shackle of humanity on their animal side. and it would look quite sexy.

For a moment, I thought your name was a contraction of "panzer reich," like you were some kingdom of armor.

time to reply i guess. It's all up to the werewolf (or the author). And it depends on the type of werewolf. I mean, like with a person who turns into an actual wolf it would be great camoflouge. And it might look cool on one like the ones from the howling 1, or maybe Vanhelsing. But it all really depends. Although Lawwrence Talbot wearing a collar really wouldn't work.
