I am looking for the title of a werewolf movie I saw in 1964 or 1965, approx. It scared me to death!!! Maybe you can help me.
A little boy is in the woods with the game keeper/huntsman of his father's estate. The game keeper shoots a squirrel. The boy picks up the dead squirrel and kisses the wound. The spirit of the squirrel enters the boy so the boy becomes a werewolf. (Which I remember becaue it doesn't make sense.) Later you see the little boy in his bedroom at the full moon, with big fangs, grabbing the bars his parents have placed on his window, trying to rip them out, and snarling and howling, while his worried parents look on helpless to ease the suffering of their child. I forget the rest. Also, my memories that I wrote here may be inaccurate due to how long ago I saw it.
This movie may not be out in video or dvd unfortunately. Thank yoiu everyone who can tell me the title!

I'm almost certain that's Curse of the Werewolf, a great hammer horror movie starring Oliver Reed. Although he was actually born a werewolf, and was kissing the squirrel cos he liked the taste of it's blood. It's only available on region 1 DVD, as part of an 8 film set called The Hammer Horror Series. Hope that helps

Yep it's definately the Curse of the Werewolf. Don't remember the squirel scene but the boys on the bars is unmistakable. It was one of my favourite ww movies and one of the first i saw.

A squirrel caused the guy to become a werewolf? I don't remember that part. I thought it was the fact that he was born the bastard child of a mute servant girl and a crazed beggar on Christmas Eve/Day that made him a werewolf.

Yeah, I was just a kid when I saw it, so either I didn't understand about how he became a werewolf, or I forgot over the years. I really appreciate everyone helping me out. I have been wanting to watch this movie again for many years, but I didn't know how to find out the title. This movie scared me so badly, that for the rest of my life, it was always werewolves that I was fun scared of. Like when I had to go out to the barn at bedtime to give the horses more hay, I would run from the house to the barn in case of werewolves. Thank you everyone.

Now, I don't know any personally, but I think if a werewolf wanted to catch you on your way to the barn, I doubt you could outrun it...
