"Blood Chocolate" kinda had that, but I didn't like it. It made me feel like I'd read the whole story for nothing. It's like if "Romeo & Juliet" had ended with Juliet killing Romeo and re-joining her family to fight his; everything's just the same way it was at the beginning of the story, so why did I just read the whole thing? There are some occasions when that kind of ending could work, but I didn't think it did here. Probably why I liked the movie better, even though it was extremely predictable. But that's just me.
This book you're talking about sounds better, though. If I could ever obtain the patience to read a book again, I'd look for it.

Let's add Cry Wolf to the list. Not bad. Kind of Howling-esque, but better than the book. Nice finale, gore, pretty brutal at times and intense.

Oh, I did back when I got it. Just didn't sound familiar off hand and with the new one with the same title out... (which, having read the short-story introducing the characters, I don't actually plan on getting anytime soon)
Might have to pull out some of the old werewolf books and re-read them after I finish Nightmare House, tho.
One I really remember liking is Wolfsbane by William W. Johnstone.

Hey, I remember seeing this at a used bookstore a long time ago. I think I was in Minnesota or Iowa or something. I recall them having a lot of werewolf books (including the two "Howling" books), and I wanted to get them all, but I only got one ("Wolfsong," since it was the sequel to one I'd already read). I could never remember the name of it, just the cover. Now I know; I might order it.

Just read 'Wolf-Dream' by Michael D Weaver, which has been mentioned a coupla times on here. Fantasy novels can go either way for me, but I liked it. Anyone read the next two in the trilogy? Are they worth looking out for?

I read 'The Hyde Effect' and was actually quite shocked by how badly written it is, it's riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. Dissapointing.
