You know i've seen a couple with the word scarecrow in the title on Zone horror but i'd damned if i can remember which ones they were in relation to your poll!
I recall in one there was something to do with initiating some lads in to the school football team or something?

You know the only Scarecrow reference I have is from my childhood. So all I remember is a cheesy theme music and some lightning and I'm probably not even thinking of the right one..
Oh, I'm a fool I was thinking of The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, an old Disney zorro-esq flick.
Crap, going to have to look that one up.

Ken Shamrock was in one of the Scarecrow movies. That's the only reason I'd care about any of them. I do recall seeing the cover of the first one when I was very young and being afraid, yet slightly intrigued. But I was that way with all horror movies I glanced at when I was at a rental store, especially Child's Play.

I think I've seen some of these, but was a long long time ago.
I remember something about a retarded kid that used to be picked on by a bunch of bullies. And his mother used to tell him to go hide in the scarecrow so they couldn't find him.
Cannot remember if he was killed or just came back as an adult dressed up as a scarecrow to get revenge in a slasher killer way. Got a vague memory of them not finding him the first time or two, then finding him that last time and maybe accidentally killing him. But I'm not sure. I was a kid when I watched it.

Funnily enough, there's actually another scarecrow movie coming out, called 'scarecrow' again. It's an independent Australian movie (I think), it's got a pretty cool mythology behind it. Don't know if it's a real myth or made up for the movie, but apparently
'If a scarecrow falls off its cross on All Hallow’s Eve and touches the ground, it can be possessed by a spirit. Embodied in the scarecrow’s primitive human shape, the resurrected spirit can then proceed to settle scores left unresolved before death.'
So the plot of the movie has an evil scarecrow terrorising a village, and the villagers try to bring a good scarecrow to life to fight it. I think that watching two scarecrows fight might just make my life complete.

I don't remember what "scarecrow" movie this was, but I remember as a kid being sacred to death of it. It started with a man who was mentally handicapped and did something terrible (I don't remember what-he may have hurt a child by accident) and went and hid in a scarecrow costume in a cornfield. The villagers then killed him and the scarecrow came back to seek revenge. All I remember is that I was scared! Great...now I'm going to have nightmares tonight!
