Just saw this, and thought it was superb. Even better than 'Prisoner of Azkaban'. Not sure how much it would appeal to kids, though, as it's one of the moodiest movies I've seen in a while. I guess goth kids will like it ...
Anyway, David Thewlis reprises his role briefly in this one, but doesn't wolf out. We do get to see Gary Oldman do his weredog thang in one scene. Is there any werewolf content in the later books? I stopped reading after 'Order of the Phoenix' because the movies were starting to surpass the books.

Is there any werewolf content in the later books? I stopped reading after 'Order of the Phoenix' because the movies were starting to surpass the books. There have been no further transformations on Lupin's part. In the next book (half blood prince) we find out more about what Lupin is doing within the Werewolf community to convince them of voldermorts evil and also get more background on the werewolf character Greyback Fenir. Greyback is also involved in the end fight although it does not take place during the full moon it's still qute interesting. I'd read the next two if i were you Noel. Whilst i agree that the movies have been amazing and i too enjoyed the Order when i saw it last week (although it was my least favourite book!) they only have time to show so much in the movies and Lupin's role in the book was much larger as it is the Half Blood Prince. The final book comes out on Saturday and although i was told only two main characters die (i'm guessing voldermort & harry but i could be wrong) JK Rowling said the book was like a blood bath and many people die within it. I kinda have the feeling that Lupin will be amongst them but i'm keeping everything crossed for his survival. Read the next two Noel. You saw how much content was lost from the book to movie in Prisoner of Azkaban and the book was no where near as big as the others. However if you really cannot be arsed PM me and i'll fill you on whats happening. Don't really wanna do it on here in case i spoil it for someone.

Yeah, maybe I should read them. The thing is I don't read that much so when I do then I like to read classic novels and such.
I still can't believe Harry got expelled for whipping his wand out in public. What a Dirty Harry.

You should read book 6 because there is an interesting discussion at the end regarding werewolves. (don't want to spoil it) And i know this is not a Potter forum but there is no way he dies in 7 that would be terrible i mean the whole series would be nothing more than a story of a boy who's parents are murdered, he is the abused by his only living relatives for 11 years before finding out he is a wizard, and after that goes through 6 years of people trying to kill him and destroy everything he loves and the when he is 17 they murder him too. i mean come on that would be terrible and i cant image that it would be remembered as a classic if that happens

I've never read the books. Only watched the films.
I really should get them though. Maybe I'll wait for a box set of the books to be released and pick them all up at once.

Well, Rowling has always said that death is the main theme of the novels. And there are plenty of classic novels in which the main character dies.
I doubt she will, though.

I can see a lot of unhappy people if she does kill him off.
After all there's a group trying to get a million signatures to persuade her to write another one after this one.

hah, those people should get themselves lives. I mean seriously. I bet she will still keep writing books in the same universe. Just not about harry. Harry himself isnt even such a good character.

Its the exact same story, whether he dies or not. No it will not. I have been reading these books for 10 years and I don't want to see a character I know and love, so well get killed. After a lifetime of suffering it would be nice to have a happily ever after.
