Death Race 2000

From the trailers, this looks to be nothing like the original.

Seems in this one, the "death race" is done within a prison, where the inmates try to kill each other with cars (modified of course) until only one is left alive and they go free.

Effects looked nice and gritty, though I think when I watch this, I'm going to view it as a prequal, about how the death race started, before it become the national contenental race that it was in the original.

The original was so funny. I loved the scene where the nurses and dr's wheeled out all those old people onto the road and Frankeinstein ran over the nurses instead!

Yeah, that was funny. I think I've got the DVD to it somewhere, tbough I could be wrong. hmmm, I think I'll have a look for it and if I don't have it, I'll buy it.
