So, did any of my fellow brits here get to Frightfest? They showed lots of cool movies this year. My wallet would only allow me to see 3 movies, so I went for Midnight Meat Train, Tokyo Gore Police and Let the Right One In. All 3 were very good but Let the Right One In was exceptional! Best vampire movie I've seen in years.

Could be a while, though some of the movies will be in cinemas later this year... Midnight Meat Train's out on Halloween I think. Recommended for fans of Clive Barker, mental japanese zombie fight movie Versus, or anyone who's sick of remakes and Saw sequels.

An interesting and genuinely creepy story with a slow burn style and full of directorial invention. Vinnie Jones was great with his killing hammer - lol. Ted Raimi's cameo and subsequent death were highly entertaining as well.

Yeah, I enjoyed it quite a lot too, and was pleasantly surprised when Ted Raimi showed up for a cameo. My only real complaint was the slight over-reliance on CGI. Good movie overall tho... and again, I'd like to reccommend the book! It's a great short story from Clive Barker's 'Books of Blood'.
