Looking hopefully at a 2009 release the sequel will pick up immediately where the first filem left us. With a deeply disturbed Sarah emerging finally from the cave. She is found incoherant and half wild with fear. However the local sherif is sceptical about her version of events and forces Sarah back into the caves to help search for her friends. They are soon trapped by falling rock and descover the bodies of Sarah's friends one by one as well as something else...............
I was quite pleased with the ending of the first movie. I find it hard to believe that after all that she would find her way out without one of those things getting her first.

Really? I always secretly hoped that they'd set the sequel for about 5 years after the events in the first film and have a team of pot holers come in to chart the caves and find themselves trapped. They then come accross the bodies and then Sarah who pretends to be rying to find her way out only to reveal she's actually a member of the community or perhaps even their Queen.........

Cool. means it should be out on DVD a few months later More like their pet rather than their queen. Wonder if they'll do a morloch joke/reference (as the trogs are ugly, live underground and eat people).

Went to the pictures and saw this with my Mum the other night. It wasn't a bad movie at all and was quite gory in places but it really didn't need to be made. The first one was superior in every single way although this movie gave an interesting insight into how the crawlers ended up down there so possibly a prequel will be in the mix at some point. Well try and check it out when it comes out but i think you'll agree they should have left it as it ended in the first one.

I'm guessing they will. They never miss an opportunity. Every time a new Harry Potter movie is released onto DVD they fetch out a box set with all the others in as well despite the fact that there are still further movies to be made.
