Just thought I'd mention some films I recently picked up.
Still Crazy About a rock band that get back together after 20 years and try to be a success again. It's a rather nice comedy with Billy Connally (sp) and a couple of other faces that are recognisable to us in the UK.
In Bruge (sp) A couple of hitmen are sent on holiday by their boss to bruege. But are they there just to enjoy themselves or was there another reason for them being sent there. A black comedy that's pretty good - mainly centered around the relationship of the two hitmen.
Taken An ex-clearner (think assasin/cia/mi5/problem solver) allows his daughter to go abroad to europe for a holiday. She's kidnapped and he goes after her. I enjoyed this film, thought it was pretty cool in how he went about trying to find her. It's an action film but not "over-the-top" action.

Wow we really are getting deperate for things to talk about arn't we! My latest purchases:
Futurama: Benders Game Futurama does D&D, some good scenes and great animation
Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder Futurama does something about the environment. Not as good as the others but if your a fan it's well worth a look.
Angel: Season Two I'm sure your all familiar with the spin off from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Well Season two sees the first appearance of my favourite character from the show: Lorne. It's great although still not as good as Buffy in my humble opinion. If only Lorne had shown up in Sunnydale!
Angel: Season Three More Lorne which is ace but also features the story arc with Angel and Darla's son Connor.

What's the Dog Soldiers Steelbook edition like? Does it differ greatly from the original release?

Not at all, i thought it would have some bonus features like commentary or making of but no. It is nice having a steelbook though.

I'm hoping for a director's cut at some point!

That would be awsome.

I wouldn't hold my breath about that. If the sequal had come out than, yeah I could see them bringing out a directors cut, or other special edition style. But been too long I think now. Perhaps they'll bring something out on it's annerversary if it's popularity survives long enough.
