Cbbc had a whole day of The Legend of Dick and Dom, two ( very funny) kids presenters who play two knights who have to find ingredients for a potion which they accidentally broke . One of the creatures they meet on their quest was the "Hairwolf".
The villagers of Barnet had been attacked in the night by a creature that ate their hair. The result was a lot of bald jokes and head slapping. They send the knights off to the nearby evil castle owned by some baroness lady who -loves- hair styles. While looking for a magic wig, one of the knights lets moon light shine on the baroness who turns out to be the Hairwolf. The Magic Wig is the course of the curse and after burning it she is released and everyone whose hair she ate gets their locks back.
The Hairwolf costume was simple, as a lot of the monsters in it are, with the rather fat baroness growing fangs, a pair of very big fluffy ears, looking a little scruffy and growling alot.
It's not your usual werewolf but it was a very good parody of a werewolf movie. It even had a cliff hanger ending with a little girl picking up the remains on the wig, making her eyes glow and fangs pop out.
