I think you mean The Company of Wolves, which is a fair-tale/werewolf film. Where as In The Company of Wolves, is a documentary film about wolves.
If you like Tim burton films you'll like the company of wolves. It's got that kind of dark fair-tale feel to it. It's pretty sureal in places too. Personally I love the film, I think it's one of the best I've seen - but than I'm weird too. The wrap-around story works well, and doesn't feel jaring as they move form that to the individual stories that make up the film.
But, I cannot say that you'll like it or not, due to it's unusuality.

I've seen it a couple of times but it's not one i'd rush out and buy really.... I remember seeing a scene from it as a child and being completely terrified. think it was the scene where the man takes his face off.

Bit of a love-it-or-hate-it film this one, much like the writer's (Angela Carter) other work. Personally, I love it. It's kind of arty, dreamlike and surreal, so if you like that sort of thing you can't go wrong. I'd say see it if you liked: 'Pan's Labyrinth', 'Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural', 'Valerie and Her Week of Wonders', and possibly 'Gothic'.

Yeah it's a bit like marmite! You either love it or hate it... But if your planning on a complete WW movie collection then it's essential.

I love this film. It's a beautiful and lyrical fairytale allegory for young girls growing in to womanhood and being wary of predatory men. But then I love The Bloody Chamber, the book by the late Angela Carter that this film is partly based on.
"Little Girls this seems to say, never stop along the way, never trust a stranger friend, no one knows where it will end, as your pretty so be wise, danger lurks in every guise, now as then tis simple truth, sweetest tongue hides sharpest tooth."

I tried looking for this film for years. I finally managed to buy an ex rental copy from a local video shop. I love this film. It definatly has a Tim Burton/fairytale feel to it. Sometimes if im not in the right mood it can be hard to sit through the entire thing but I feel if your a werewolf film fan this is a must.

I remember the first time i saw it i was quite young and it freaked me out! I was too young to appreaciate it really, mostly i was just left with a "what the............" feeling. But now it's better, although still liable to freak me out after attaining a suitable blood alcohol level.

When I first watched the film, it made me want to run with the wolf pack. The fairytale forest and the wild hunt. For me, I connected more with the wrap-a-round story than with the individual tales.
