Ello everyone, just signed up here and i have a question ,ok i might seem really anal about this so please forgive me , but ,alright Underworld ,yes it's an entertaining movie ,but ,i personally wouldn't call it a werewolf movie, not till the third one at least where it actually had werewolves in it, and i quote from the chief effects designer " we wanted something more feline" ,seriously now, that is not a werewolf, have you ever seen a cat that people want to look more doggy?no ,a werewolf is exactly that ,a werewolf ,not a werecat/wolf thingy mix mongrel pile of tosh ,ok rant over ,ellos XD

Welcome to the Pack.
I do consider the Underworld movies werewolf movies. I'm not 100% keen on the design of the werewolves in the first movie but loved the design of William in the 2nd one.

I'm a little slow saying hello, but . . .
Hello and welcome to our little den.
and just to put my own comment about your question, I consider Underworld films to be werewolf movies, even if primarily the focus is on the vampire side.
We just need to avoid a new breed of movie name, like they've done with comedy and zombie films, forcing them to spend the night in a cheep hotel and birthing zomcoms (don't get me wrong I like comedy zombie films, I just think inventing a new name to describe them is excessive). So I don't know to see anyone calling films with vamps and werewolves in them something like werepire or werevamp or vampwolf or something.

They have so many sub-genres, theres one I just discovered called mumble core. Its kinda hard to explain but there is a definition on google. That new movie Cyrus is an example.
