Just catching this again online these days, as the last time I saw it was its original run on FOX. Even as young as I was at the time, this was a must see for me every week. Shame they couldn't do something like this nowadays, as it's a fairly simple formula to follow, and doesn't require the integration of vampires or other members of the monster community. Already plenty of that kind of stuff on air right now.

I agree completely Dryst. I would love to see something like this on tv again.

All they would really need to do is modernize it, put a little more effort into the dialogue, and follow through on what the first one started. They established three fairly solid ideas from the very first episode: he had to track down the leader of the bloodline to cure himself and end the curse, he had a bounty hunter on his trail who at certain points was willing to take him in dead or alive, and according to the one who made him, it was going to get harder to control his actions as time went by.
They started to make some progress on the first aspect, the second was in a holding pattern, and the last never really got explored in any meaningful way by the time the show was cut off. They could have accomplished a lot with just a bit more time.

Effects were supervised and done in Rick Baker's shop. This was one of my all time favorite TV shows. It started on Fox and was picked up by USA. I always hoped (still do) that they might reinvent and revamp this little 80's gem..

I'm not a big fan of remakes, I always prefer sequels, prequels, or spin-offs, rather than someone trying to do a remake. But a continuation of this series would be nice.

Loved this show, but it went downhill after Chuck Connors was fired.
Werewolf was one of the first shows out the gate, when Fox launched back in the mid/late 80's.

Now available on DVD from the French company Elephant Films.
Apparently region-free as it's playing fine (in English) on my un-modded PS4.
I ordered it from FNAC.com, tho the site has some issues when being ran thru Google translate - like some countries (including the US) disappearing from the dropdown list when trying to put in the shipping address. I got around it by having the site open in two windows, on translated and one not.
