the Weinstein's have said it will be "dramatically different". I'll say! Dimension Films to team up with Disney for 'A Muppet Werewolf In London'
Filmgoers were left shocked and bemused when Bob Weinstein, Co-Chairman of The Weinstein Company, made the announcement that the remake of 'An American Werewolf In London' will be the next film in the Muppet movie franchise. The film will be the first release by 'Dimension Films Junior" a new subsidiary of Dimension Films aimed at a younger audience.
Fernley Phillips ("The Number 23") will both write and direct the upcoming "potential blockbuster". Weinstein said that he hoped fans would take the news well and with an open mind. "The first draft is underway and many ideas are being discussed. I can tell you that Kermit's transformation will in some ways completely blow away the original. It will be a very painful transformation."
He stressed that it is still a horror/comedy and can be enjoyed by adults as well as younger movie goers. Finally, he added that the film will be in 3D.

I'm pretty fond of the Muppets, but I can't imagine this to be good for both franchises. The Muppets should do a proper Muppet-3D flick instead of another spoof. I like the spoofs, but there's more to them than that.

Actually I was just kidding. I made it up. I could not sleep due to illness & the idea popped into my head. It was meant to be a joke but the more I thought about it it seemed like maybe quite a good idea. I thought of Miss Piggy & Kermit going for a midnight stroll in Regents Park on a moonlit night (full moon) & Kermit being attacked by an animal...

LOL I had no idea it would be so successful/convincing. ;D I wasn't sure what the reaction would be. I purposely added the bit at the end about Kermit transforming into a werewolf to make it less convincing/to stop me from getting in trouble if the news spread. I suppose it is quite possible. I might have believed it had someone else written it. The more I think about it the more I think a Muppet werewolf film is a great idea. Every year I plan to post about an asteroid on a collision course with Earth on April Fool's Day. I always change my mind at the last minute in case people believe it. Don't worry, I won't do it again...or will I?

Lol During the minute or so it took them to go to a news page to confirm my story they would think they were going to die. The time I spent crafting my fake Breaking News would make it very realistic so it is not something I would do.
