No release date scheduled, but this looks cool. Haven't seen a decent dragon flick since DRAGONSLAYER, and that was way, way back in '81. Apparently, this new flick is essentially MOBY DICK except with a dragon. Hmmm, interesting. Well, the trailer has already got one fan. Me! |

Saw REIGN OF FIRE, hated it with a passion. Sure the dragon was cool, but the story sucked. The story they should have told was when the dragons were decimating the earth. What they told in Reign was a kind of sequel, which I simply didn't like. Too bad. DRAGONSLAYER, in my opinion, is the only good dragon flick Hollywood has ever made.
And, with fingers crossed, this AGE OF THE DRAGONS might be the second.

Looks promising. The only two dragon flicks i ever like were Reign of Fire and Dragon Heart.

I agree that Reign of Fire's plot wasn't the best storyline they could have done, and it had one or two fairly giant plot-holes. But I liked the effects and look of that film, and the dragons looked cool enough.
Dragonslayer, I agree, is probably the best dragon film currently made. Apart from one little superimposing in the cave, the dragon looks great.
Dragonheart I rather enjoyed as a semi comedy/fantasy film not to be taken seriously. The dragon wasn't great to look at, but I did like their personalities of the main characters and thought the humour worked well.
I'm glad their doing another dragon film, and I'll cross my fingers that it turns out to be good, unlike Eragon which was awful.

I always did like Sean Connery as the dragon voice in Dragonheart, I think thats why I liked it growing up.
