OK, who stole my post? hmm? come on, own up!!

Maybe it's fallen down the back of the forum or something . . .

Anyway, it simply said that something about having to checkout online about some of these Cameron films, as I don't remember some of them. I also said something about owning those last three films, Forbidden World, Galaxy of Terror, Humanoids from the Deep. And how I don't remember if my DVD of Galaxy of Terror is the cut or uncut version - also said something about how my VHS version was the cut one, but the one I taped off TV some years ago now was the uncut one.

Would just be my luck that my post turns up now that I've redone it.

Depending on where you live, maybe, it was cut in the U.K., but as for region 1 releases, GALAXY OF TERROR has always been the same version that was shown theatrically. In the documentary, it's stated that Corman indeed made some cuts to the flick, but all that footage was tossed out. As in, gone for good.

The director's cut of FORBIDDEN WORLD is so minimal, that if there wasn't a commentary on it, I wouldn't have known what was missing. That cut wasn't remastered and shows it, too. Stick with the theatrical, FORBIDDEN WORLD, version. Dear God, the colors,on that one are spectacular. It's almost got a similar color palette as CREEPSHOW and FROM BEYOND. Very stylized.

The covers are reversible, too, with the American poster art on one side and the internatonal poster art on the other. You can display which ever one you like best.

After I shower and eat, I forgot to paste in PIRANHA's cover art. And, for us standard DVD owners, Shout! Factory did us all a solid and included a 3D lenticular card board cover of the international poster. The Blu-Ray doesn't have it.

Most of them also come with booklets. This summer, I bought the three mentioned above, along with PIRANHA.

I picked up Piranha at walmart of all places, I felt the need to save at least one. Kicks the shit out of the new one for sure. As for Humanoids from the Deep, i paid 25 bucks for the vhs and it was worth every penny.

Piranha is a fun film. Though the sequal when they spliced them with flying fish was rather over the top.

Not seen the new one yet, so cannot say if I think it's good or bad.

Started reading Roger's book today, its 'really fab if you like his films or want to know about making films on a budget

Corman is genius when it comes to low budget film making, I love his interviews.

That Warrior & the Sorceress/Barbarian Queen double-feature is definitely on my to-buy list. (as are Starcrash and Humanoids From the Deep - the rest are on my it'd-be-nice-to-have list)
