PSYCHOMANIA AND HORROR EXPRESS TRAILERS FOUND! SEVERIN FILMSAfter much scouring of global labs and personal collections we finally uncovered the long thought lost English trailers for both Psychomania and Horror Express. Both were transferred in HD and here they are. Sadly, no such luck with Crucible Of Terror. Horror Express will be released on DVD and Blu-ray sometime next year – stay tuned for updates.
Also, according to their Facebook page, HORROR EXPRESS's end credits are being restored!

I forgot to mention, SEVERIN FILMS also acquired THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, and along with HORROR EXPRESS, they were both supposed to be released this FALL.
PSYCHOMANIA and CRUCIBLE OF TERROR took their place once they got pushed back. PSYCHOMANIA was initially also supposed to get a blu-ray release, but for some reason SEVERIN FILMS cancelled those plans.

Sweet, these discs should look great! Is 'House that dripped Blood' going to get a rerelease I was planning on purchasing all the Amicus anthologies all at once sometime next year, so it would be swell to get that new version. Any news on extra's for these releases?

HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, Like HORROR EXPRESS, is scheduled for a remastering and will be loaded with lots of extras. And, I assume, like HORROR EXPRESS it will also be coming out in blu-ray form. I'm more fan of the EXPRESS than the HOUSE.

Haven't seen HOUSE yet (and only chunks of EXPRESS) but I'm a big of the Amicus Omnibus films. Plus, it's Chris Lee, Peter C, Ingrid Pitt and the one and only Jon Pertwee (Doctor Who himself!) For me, It's a no-brainer Hope they produce a cool 'definitive' docu on the Amicus films, fingers crossed.

Found this reply on Severn Films facebook page: www.facebook.com/severinfilms Horror Express should be good for Blu judging by the HD transfer. The transfer on House is not complete yet but is reportedly good enough as well. If, that's if, all goes to plan both will be on DVD and Blu on the same date in 2011.

Not only is "The House That Dripped Blood" the best of the Amicus anthologies it is perhaps the second best horror anthology film ever made (after Ealing Studio's "Dead Of Night"). I have the Amicus Coffin Box Set. The most interesting commentaries are for "The Best Must Die" (w/dir. Paul Annett), "Dr Terrors House Of Horrors" (w/dir. Freddie Francis) and "The House That Dripped Blood" (w/dir. Peter Duffell). The commentary for "Asylum" (w/dir. Roy Ward Baker) is also interesting. There are also documentaries for The Beast Must Die, THTDB, Asylum and one main Amicus documentary (w/Max J. Rosenberg).
Re DTHOH. The first segment of this horror anthology film is a werewolf story. Very high on atmosphere. A couple of the stories in this collection are rather weak though.
I suspect these commentaries/documentaries will be the definitive versions since I am not sure all these directors are still alive/available (I think Rosenberg is deceased.)

THE BEAST MUST DIE kicks ass, and I'm still waiting for a region 1 release of DR. TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS. Never was a fan of THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, but I may pick it up when it comes out, just to do a re-evalution. Haven't seen it since childhood.

Any details on when I can get this on Amazon? And what extras might I feast upon?

HORROR EXPRESS is still in the works, and extras still haven't been hinted at yet. The tentative release date is 2011. I hope they can get Christopher Lee for a commentary. That would be SO sweet!
