I wouldn't go that far, Disney has done a horror film you know. Called Something Wicked This Way Comes . . . it's even got a PG rating!!
But regarding the werewolf film, it's not got much gore from memory - though I do think I remember someone being dragged about in it's jaws at one point - but I think that's more to do with budget costs than anything else.
For me it felt very "being followed across the moors" kind of film rather than "scream scream it's eating my leg".

Dude I saw Something Wicked.
I am going to find Wild Country and try it out just to commit it to my film harddrive in my brain.

Ok, just don't go into watching the film with big expectations, or expect awesome effects. It's low budget.
Go in expecting it to be an okey film and you're liable to injoy it. Watching it expecting it to be awesome or best film ever, and you'll end up very very disappointed.

Im not saying Disney has never made horror movies, but when Necro askes for brutal Cannibal Holocaust, Man From Deep River, Maniac, Hellraiser 3, and Dead Alive are just a few that come to mind. Ha and, as a fellow metal head, I know what level Necro is on so brutal...not quite, but good... definitely a must see.

Wouldn't class Hellraiser 3 as brutal. It's effects are too 'fake' to make it a brutal film. The first two had much more realistic effects.

Well alot of the first two were real, all the animal killing were real. I guess its personal preference, to me Hellraiser 3 had cheesy effects but was pretty gruesome. Come to think of it Wishmaster 1 & 2 were also pretty gnarly as well.

all the animal killing were real. As far as I know no animals were killed during the making of Hellraiser. The rats nailed to the wall were animatronic. Clive Barker explains on the commentary that the rats looked so real he had to demonstrate them working to the film examining board. Even back then it would have been illegal to torture or kill animals for entertainment.

i met little john when i did an effects course and asked him about that ,it was years ago while i was at art college and absolutely no animals were harmed,so whoever is saying that got their facts very wrong, even if an animal is accidentally hurt on a set there is serious fines to pay and i do mean serious, they amount to tens of thousands .

My bad, when I said first two I ment the first two movies I listed, "Man from Deep River" and "Cannibal Holocaust." No there were no animal killings in the Hellraisers.

I liked the first Wishmaster, wasn't so keen on the sequals.

I like the first two about the same and that is because Andrew Divoff played the djinn in both. I never even saw the 3rd and 4th one simple because a different actor played the djinn and it was directed by CHRIS ANGEL, I mean what the hell. I threw up a little just thinking about Chris directing a movie, he probably levitated on and off the set.

Its not a bad movie and can be described as good when you compare it to "Red Werewolf Hunter", "The Feeding" "Howling 3 and 7" and "Darkwolf". Lets put it this way- say there is a snowstorm and you are stuck inside- its not a bad way to kill a few hours.
Not to give anything away but I get annoyed at certain things that took place in this film. If you ever run into a hysterical female out in the middle of no where and she says we have to get out of here, just get on the quad and leave.
