BIG alien invasion film. Looks like the effects are on the Blockbuster scale of films. Story goes something like:

"Strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth"

And they do mean swallow - the trailer shows this big ships hoovering up thousands of people out of the cities (erm, looks better than that sounded).

Here's the official trailer. Eh, but it's slowly growing on me. Might see this, not sure yet:

I'll probably end up seeing it, but it does look like one of those movies where the trailer is better looking than the film.
