I saw this movie several years ago on tv but I wanted to get it and couldn't find the title of it. The man who is turning into a werewolf has a sister and a nephew. I believe the sister takes him and doesn't know he is a werewolf. But her son and his young nephew suspect something is wrong. The son was probably 9 or 10. The one who can really tell is their dog as animals are far more sensitive to things than humans. I can'r remember what the dog saw, but the dog knew he was a werewolf. At some point I think the nephew and the dog tried to warn the sister, but she wouldn't listen. By the end of the movie the man was miserable and the dog was there right before he was about to make his final transformation. The man told the dog that he could kill him as he was miserable and to keep him from killing again. The dog took one look at him and pounced. By this time the sister knew he was a werewolf and even though she didn't want to believe and felt terrible about it, finally did believe and was saddened by his death. Can someone please help me locate the name of this movie. I really want to track it down.

Nope, cannot be Kit Auto, he didn't mention anything about Canals, so wasn't in Venice.
hmm, snoopy . . . biped . . . covered in fur . . . human like actions . . . you may be on to something.

Because I'm not a sad filmgeek I won't be pointing out to you that "Kid Auto Races in Venice" isn't actually set in Venice, Italy. If I did it would make me look humourless & stupid, so Im glad I decided not to. Inside of me there is a little tiny greyhaired film historian and he want's to get out

Did anyone read the book "Bad Moon" was based on? It was called "Thor" and told from the dog's point of view: www.amazon.com/Thor-Wayne-Smith/dp/0345384555I found a copy at the local library, fwiw. A fast, interesting read, but not necessarily what I would call well written (it had a few style issues). Shawn L.

I wish I read more. I used to. I have recently been re-reading all the Lovecraft stuff.

Lovecraft is hit or miss for me. The man was brilliant when it came to creating mythos, but his stories lack tension and I often find them a chore to finish. Granted, that could be a factor of when they were written and/or my short attention span If you like Lovecraft and have any form of commute, you might enjoy the ARTC rendition (and dramatization) of Lovecraft stories: www.amazon.com/Rats-Walls-Dramatized/dp/B000VMRMN0The main narrator in the one I linked above is Harlan Ellison. I liked that one quite a bit and I'm looking forward to listening to others. You can also find these in i-Tunes, fwiw. Shawn L.
