Trick r Treat is a great, fun film. Grab yourself a copy ASAP. This pic might be an incentive? Attachments:

How prominent a part do werewolves play?

I'd guess the werewolves are part of the red riding story - 1 of 3 stories which make up the film.

Trick r Treat consists of 4 interwoven stories, all very satisfying. Quick math would put the werewolf part as 1/4 of the film (give or take). It is a very awesome part of the overall story, I'm sure werewolf fans would enjoy it. Don't want to give away the surprises.

This film is brilliant! The best ode to Halloween I've ever seen. It is dark yet fun and has that fairytale feel to it and looks gorgeous. It also has a very good cast indeed who do wonderful work. All the stories are great and intertwine with each other but the werewolf one is the best. It's fab!
If you like werewolves or just a good fun spooky movie then this is a treat. It was criminal it didn't get a cinema release.

I've heard nothing but good things about it here but on other sites it's taken a real slating. It didn't get one good review in any of the newspapers or magazines i've read. Really strange.

Definitely strange. I don't think I've seen a bad review of it anywhere. I sure won't give it one. Loved it.

I think bad reviews might be down to two things- no film can live up to 2 years of hype, and it's a horror movie, most definately aimed squarely at horror fans. Not a huge amount of mainstream appeal. 5/5 for me!

I've heard nothing but good things about it here but on other sites it's taken a real slating. It didn't get one good review in any of the newspapers or magazines i've read. Really strange. That's odd. I've seen almost universal praise for it. Okay, that's mostly from the sorts of people who would probably like it anyway. Even so i've seen good reviews in the manstream media too. I don't get why anyone wouldn't like it. Unless they just don't like Halloween or horror movies in general. But then again a friend of mine who doesn't really like horror films much watched it and loved it. Go figure.

Perhaps i just read crap mags! But i think Keywold may have a point about mainstream appeal, the same places i read bad reviews on this for, printed good reviews for movies you can bet will do good box office.
