Fingers crossed CGI will be used sparingly!

Fingers crossed CGI will be used sparingly! Sparingly used CGI? But...how will they create the illusion of werewolvery for Twilight audiences whitout it?!

I so hope this version will have some horror to it.
And a don't mean a guest appearance of Bella and Edward.

Nar no Bella and Edward, they're too busy gracing the red carpets, advertising the shower or romantic shite that will be breaking dawn part 1. Although i am slightly curious to see how they manage to make what should be some pretty horrible scenes suitable for a 12a audience.

Man why can't people just leave classics and good films alone? if it is already bad ass what makes them think they can do better?

They're not trying to do better. they're cashing in on an already established fanbase to gain more revenue from what otherwise would be lesser film.

I think you can't really blame people for cashing in. Heck, I'd remake it myself if I was being paid $h!tloads of money.
The thing that bugs me (and I think most people) is that the folks who make these films just don't seem to care about what the hell they are making or the potential of these kinds of projects.
"Bleh, I don't want to make a tribute to Universal Monster movies. I'll just rip off Vampire Hunter D instead and steal my monster design from McFarlane. I'll make Dracula emo! Young audiences love emo's and it's WAY better than that Lugosi crap! I love being Stephen Sommers!"

There is a movie, and I'm trying to remember it's name, that has monsters by McFarlane. It's done by someone famous . . . not spielburg . . . aargh I hate it when I cannot remember things.
It's about a man, who trades his wife in for a demon lover. Deals with her ordeals and attempts to get back from the other side.
It may be called Tortured Souls . . . or something like that.

I thought Tortured Souls was just a series that McFarlane did from a Clive Barker idea.

'Tortured Souls' would make a great film and/or mini-series btw.

Found a bit of info on the Tortured Soul film: www.clivebarker.info/newfilmsd.htmlThere's also an entry on IMDB about it too. Though it looks like the movie never made it to production, and the project died some time ago.
