Here's some additional news... Courtesy of: www.upcominghorrormovies.com/"After nearly 10 years and after several failed production starts, Kismet Entertainment Group officially announced on September 12th 2011 that they are not only working on a web series based on the film, but they're also in the early pre-production stages of the sequel. There's currently no word if the subtitle "Fresh Meat" or original premise will still be used. Originally budgeted at $5.5 million. Rob Green (The Bunker), who was once attached to direct, revealed the following: "Some of the characters actually love being a werewolf because they are so powerful – the ultimate killing machine…it’s a fun spin on the traditional angle that being a werewolf is a curse which damns the person the person no matter what. We also have a very savage she-wolf in the climax who faces against the leader of the pack of Dog Soldiers."

Okay, as a huge fan of the original i'm not getting my hopes up for the sequel, i fear disapointment. I also fear the curse of Twilight!!!!!! The web based series looks good but i'm wondering whether Kevin McKidd will be in the sequel? Am i right to be cautious i wonder?

Yes your right to be cautious.
Probably the saving grace for it to not become twilighted is that fact the original isn't that old a film and its a sequal not a remake. So they should hopefully stick to the style and mythos that the 1st one estabilished.

I want blood, guts and men in werewolf suits on stilts!
Kevin Mckidd wouldn't go a miss either. And it's not like he's got a lot on at the moment, Rome never really went anywhere.

Nice. No further word on the sequel then? Just realised that Kevin McKidd is staring in Greys Anatomy so not holding my breath for him being availbale for the new film. I've said it before and i'll say it again. If Spoon had survived we would already have had a sequel.
