It's the long-delayed sort-of-sequel to the Wicker Man, by the same director, Robin Hardy. Sadly the feedback from Frightfest was very negative, but I'll give it a go anyway.

Looks pretty cool! The concept seems sound and Mr. Lee is in it...I'm in!

Hmmm looks a wee bit odd to me. To be honest, despite the presence of Mr C Lee i was never a fan of the original. I just found it too odd, however the final scenes in the original i found really disturbing and I thought Edward Woodward really sold his terror to us.

Werewolf-Movies Forum unwritten law Nr 34.6-A : How bad can it be when Chris Lee / Pete Cushing is in it? Fact: Never seen a movie with either of those two actors that wasn't at least hilariously entertaining. Case in point: Howling 2: Your Sister is a Werewolf. Best werewolf comedy of the eighties or best werewolf comedy ever?

Watched this yesterday. It wasn't very good.
The acting and dialogue was less on the poor side, and the plot wobbled along with less than graceful steps.
Christopher Lee's part was for about 1 min in a flashback, which didn't seem to surve any purpose. Which is a huge shame, as they squanded him in this film.
The overall plot idea was ok, just the excecusion of it that wasn't.
I think one problem this film had was they were too worried about living up to the powerful ending of the original film, rather than trying to capture the strangeness of the original.
In fact the episode in the Randell and Hopkirk remake where they visited an island and had to deal with 'ancient justice' makes a better sequal than this.
The wicker tree effigy looked good though. And the two songs in it were interesting.
