Wasn't going to post another film, but just had to, as it's Bruce Campbell, yay!
This was supposed to be filmed back in 2010, but production was held up. In the Man's own words back in July 2011:
"Well, the script sucked. We’ve got to start all over again. Your script is your blueprint. If your blueprint is off, your building is going to be, too. In the old days, I wouldn’t have even known what a bad script was. But now I have a better idea and I know that you actually can’t fix a bad script. With a great script, you can get a lousy actor and he’ll still be good in it. But a lousy script, you can get Laurence Olivier and it’ll still suck. So we’re working on it. We don’t want to piss people off. You make a sequel, people have expectations."

I still have to see the first one - but after looking at the trailer it seems like a winner! I also read a couple of pages from his autobiography at a friends house, equally good.

I'd watch anything with Bruce Campbell in it. He's the man! I'm still gutted he's not in the Evil Dead remake. I wanted a sequel, not a remake!!!

Me too! They should have at least given him a bit part, or having him do the voice on the tape recorder or just something. Even if it's the 'crazy old man that warns them not to go up there'. Still, it won't stop me buying the remake when it comes out

I wish he played Batman in 'Batman Forever', or any Batman flick for that matter...

I own the first one, and would be up for a sequel for sure. He's easily one of my favorites, and I've been happy watching him in "Burn Notice" over the past couple of years. Also happy to hear that, although he isn't reprising his role in any way, he's given his endorsement to the new Evil Dead movie.

I've just read that Bruce Campbell is one of the producers of the remake of Evil Dead, and that he has a cameo part somewhere in the film. Whether this is true or not I don't know.

Last I heard, Bruce gave a "no comment" type response in regards to whether or not he'd appear in the flick. Which with him, could very well have had a wink accompanied with it, not wanting to spoil things. Either way, the fact that he gave the whole thing a big thumbs up is enough to make me happy.

It would be nice to see him pop up in a cameo role, even if he's not credited. I've not seen any of Burn Notice, is iy any good?
Hawkeye - casting Bruce as Batman is a brilliant idea!!!!!!!! How much better would Batman Forever and Batman and Robin have been if Bruce had been in it.

Burn Notice is a lot of fun. Bruce is great, of course, but Jeffery Donovan in the lead role really does a fine job of his own. Once you get past the first season, they start throwing some memorable adversaries and season specific story arcs at you, as you start getting attached to the team. It does get a bit formulaic, and production starts tapering off later in the series, but I was already hooked on the characters and the little things that made the show so charming in the first place by then (yogurt, anyone?)
Now I say this as someone who doesn't normally gravitate towards spy stuff in general. It would take something special to get me invested in a 2 hour spy movie, but the way they set up this particular show, I always look forward to catching it on Thursday nights. If you know someone who wouldn't mind lending you the first season to give it a try, I'd say go for it, if only for Bruce...
