While not exclusively about Werewolves, it does contain some mighty good scenes of Werewolf goodness. The line in the bottom pic is perhaps my favorite line from the whole film. Attachments:

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Whilst not primarily a werewolf movie, the design and use of the werewolf in the film was brilliant. Such a shame this wasn't chosen as the primary method of killing at the start of the fun. I also loved the fact that the werewolf was not designed completely with CGI (i think they only did the legs?), it made it much more frightening. I also watched the special features on the dvd and was amused to learn that the first thing Sigourney Weaver asked when she got on set was "is the werewolf here today?" as she really wanted a picture with it!
Its a great film with an interesting concept and no stupid disney fairy tale ending.

I'm SO glad I didn't know about the werewolf when I went to see this. It was already a must-see for me, and so I tried not to watch trailers etc.
When the 'monster' was picked I noticed 'werewolf' written on the betting board and felt a pang of dissapointment that we could have got a werewolf and had to settle for redneck zombies instead.
...And then of course the final third of the movie knocks it out of the park for monster fans, and that werewolf is one of the best I've seen. Joss and Drew's requirements for the werewolf were: 'it has to be fast, is has to kick ass, and it has to be all practical.'
Many thumbs up to then for going all practical with it. The legs were practical too, they only used green screen to cover the actor's real legs.

I thought it was especially nice that the werewolf was the last monster to get any screentime, not counting the 'elder god' hand.

I went back through the movie to the basement scene to see if i could spot which object would be related to the werewolf.... Too dark to see really.

That sounds alike a fun little game actually, spotting each item and linking it to the monster that it bellows with - like the puzzle box and the cenobite-wanna-be.
I think I may go and rewatch the basement scene again and see what I can guess.

Werewolf, the object that would have summoned the werewolf was an amulet.

Amulet? Where was it? I take it your not refering to the necklace that the blonde girl was holding up?

I don't think the amulet was actually shown, it was mentioned during an interview with the director/producer or someone like that.
There are lists on the internet showing some of what items summoned what creatures. Based on info in the film, and what crew/cast have said in various interviews and such like.
