Alternate Ending to An American Werewolf In Paris?

So i recorded AAWIP on the horror channel the other night so my partner could experience the full horror that is this "sequel" and basically listen to me moan about the CGI, etc.
Anyway the movie was shown with a completely different ending to the release i have seen previously. Has anyone else seen this? I didn't even know an alternate ending existed for this movie. Maybe its been mentioned before and i've just missed the post.

So if you've seen it what did you think? Which ending do you prefer. For those who haven't seen it and want to know what happens if you continue to scroll i have included it further down but didn't want to spoil it for anyone so you will need to scroll.

in an alternate ending, after Andy eats Claude's heart, Serafine has a vision of her father in the back of an ambulance, explaining how he found a cure before his death. The new closing scene shows Serafine and Andy having a child, whose eyes shift to look like the werewolves'.

Never heard of an alternative ending either.

Seems like the alternative ending was on the original Australian DVD releases, though later releases did the statue of liberty ending.

I wasn't aware of an alternate ending either. I quickly popped in my dvd to re-watch the film and, alas, I only have the standard (theatrical) ending. Thank you, though, for providing a description of the alternate version- I think I would have preferred that twist.
